This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

what are your rpg related new years resolutions

as a gm my resolution is to start stating up npcs in advance more rather then scrambling to stat them up as needed

as a player i want to try and make my characters come across as less creepy

as both a player and a gm i want to make my writing easier to understand
If your having tier problems i feel bad for you son i got 99 problems but caster supremacy aint 1.

Apology\'s if there is no punctuation in the above post its probably my autism making me forget.

if it was good enough for herbert bayer it should also work for you. don't worry ;)

my resolution is to finish my kingmaker campaign and start new dungeon crawl classics campaign. also to buy less and use more. i will probaby limit myself to goodman games and 3rd party dcc.

Necrozius

I'm gonna finish writing my two adventure modules, although I'm concerned over the setting of one of them (historical 17th century Romania), in light of another recently published work of some fame also set in a similar location... Maybe I should reconsider.

Also, to draw more, goddamnit! Now that my kids are a BIT older, I may be able to squeeze in some time here and there...

To stick to ONE fantasy system. I keep moving the goalposts, system-wise. Really think it's going to be Microlite20, at this point.

I'm going to be finishing up Doodling D&D and I'd like to get a basic version of my Phaserip game out and available in pdf.

Baron Opal

Write the Unearthed Arcana supplement for my PHB house rules. I won't hardback this one, however.

YourSwordisMine

Play more games.

This can be hard with my depression, as getting out can be difficult. I am in a 5e game right now, and my goal is to stick with it without dropping out. I've made it to the first 3 sessions so far, which is a new record for me lately.

While this sounds easy enough, it really isn't. I want to make it work. Its been a fun game, with my long time (20 years?) gaming group. It also helps that 5e is such a good system that is working for all of us (at least most of us).

We'll see how it goes.

Spend less time visiting forums and blogs. And even less time posting responses.

Buy fewer products.

Keep looking for a copy of Heroes of Olympus.

tuypo1

now why would you want to spend less time on forums

So as to stop reading the things that make one angry (not saying that anyone here makes me angry, but sometimes I get really cross at politics and things).
I play these games to be entertained... I don't want to see games about rape, sodomy and drug addiction... I can get all that at home.

i suppose i could understand that i had to take a break from /tg/ for a few days once to get away from edition wars.

dont get me wrong i like watching edition wars but when i realised that they pretty much all start with people who cant resist the urge to shit on 3.5 whenever its mentioned thats one thing i love about this place it reminds me that not everybody that dislikes 3.5 is a shithead about it.
