Liber Fanatica is pleased to announce the first release of the Elf Project, Defenders of the Forest. This 100-page sourcebook for Wood Elf characters in WFRP also contains material for GMs who want to run magical forest adventures. Although the rules are 2nd edition, much of the background can be used in any edition.

Who are Game Masters?

This is the question that I want to answer via the Master of the Game project.

I plan on interviewing game masters from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels and posting them on my blog. I also intend to produce a survey that can help gather statistical data on game masters in order to spot trends and to further help illuminate and outline the varied lives we lead.

Eventually I hope to compile my data and your stories into a book. A book that can serve as the definitive illustration who we really are. As game masters--and as people.

But I won’t be able to do this without your help and your cooperation. Complete my survey. Participate in an interview. Spread the word.

A new retail and on-line game store, with attached gaming centre will be opening in Rugby, U.K. on 1st April 2013.

The retail store will be stocking a large range of board games, roleplaying games, collectible card games, miniatures and game accessories. In addition to the retail store, the attached gaming centre has four rooms, a large room ideal for wargaming, two smaller rooms and an atmospheric cellar room. The gaming centre will be running numerous events including D&D Encounters, Pathfinder Society, its own D&D 3.5 Living game, roleplaying weekends, Magic tournaments, historical wargame days, board game tournaments and Warhammer Fantasy and 40k tournaments, to name a few.

Hi All,

We're trying to get a new RPG system finished via some Kickstarter funding.

Vacuum Shadows RPG

The system is a Science Fiction RPG that is quite simple for people to get the hang of quickly - with a minimum of fuss and rule bashing.

We have most of the core game rules done and tested, but we now need to enhance the background and fill out more of the technology details.  We are also after getting some better illustrations and artwork for the rules so as to make it a bit less boring to look at.

This is a time consuming process and we'd like to be able to concentrate on it for a couple of months with a focus on it more than other work.

There is also going to be a software version of the Rule system, with interactive aspects to help players and DM's alike.

If you think you or your friends might be interested then please take a look.  We will be updating the details on the site shortly with some examples of the system and a video showing the current state of the Rules software.

The Liber Fanatica team has finally finished the Wood Elf sourcebook, Defenders of the Forest: http://liberfanatica.net/Elf_Project.html. It's designed for WFRP 2nd edition, but much of the background can be used with any edition.

Over 40 pages of new material has been added to the Beta version (released May 2012) including:

Chapter III: Religion
Chapter VIII: The Laurëlorn Forest
Chapter IX: new Hinterglade (The Doomed Kindred) and Hinterglade design guidelines
Chapter XII: Revolutions in Progress (adventure)

...plus extra information on Brúidd spirits and Lornalim trees, a new Heirloom, and more. Playtest feedback has also been incorporated into the rules.

EDIT: A couple of layout glitches in the adventure have been fixed, and the pdfs have been re-uploaded.
