This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I would like opinions of: how to go about the creation, useful applications, and chaos causing fun scenarios that a non-lethal rubber ball grenade would have in a D&D 3.5 campaign. I am trying to create a crazy alchemist character with just as crazy toys.

What exactly would a "non-lethal rubber ball grenade" be?

Well congrats. No one else gives a shit, so your arguments are a waste of breath.

The Traveller

A critical hit indeed. They're called stingballs, some use them for claymore training, my guess is a save versus paralysis or -5 on all actions for the next 1d6 rounds.

Bloody Stupid Johnson

Or lots of small balls that fill an area and make the footing treacherous, a bit like a Grease spell perhaps.

Warboss Squee

Try a super bouncy ball with a Mark of Insanity on it.

Not familiar with 3.5 rules but I like the idea of such a bouncy grenade having a Polymorph Other effect, especially when combined with a random animal chart like this: http://jrients.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/and-now-random-chart.html
