This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I just set a chair on my Dragon Age RPG Set 2 Box...

Quote from: Tommy Brownell;624522With any luck, I'll get to run it again. I could see it shooting up my list of favorite systems pretty easily. The whole session, including character generation, was about five hours. Only game I own that plays that smooth is Savage Worlds, and our first time with it certainly didn't go as smooth as this.

I have a dream...

Dragon Age boxed set 3 actually gets released before I die of old age.

and.....

I somehow manage to a group to play it instead of Pathfinder.

One should always have a dream, however unrealistic.

From what I've heard, the hold up on set 3 is BIOWare and Dragon Age 3...

I guess once we see it, we'll see Box Set 3... Which, kind of sucks since the RPG is more reliant on Origins than on the later games. But oh well...

Green Ronin has stated that after set 3 launches, they plan to do a settingless AGE system book that will be geared for generic fantasy. I look forward to this as the AGE system is really fun!

And I will be buying Set 3 when it comes out.

Set 2 does add a few more Combat and Spell Stunts to their lists along with the Exploration and Social stunts lists. It is well worth getting.

At least according to the last post on the subject at their site (in January), they were tentatively thinking that the pdf would be available sometime in February, and the boxed set in April.

I'll be all over set 3. Our Dragon Age session was a ton of fun...enough that I'll at least look at the new DA-free AGE setting with an interested eye.

The DA setting may be my favorite setting, allthough I also quite fond of Dark Sun, and Ravenloft.

But I also would take a look at a non DA setting with the same system.

There are a few hickups in the DA system, but nothing you cant 'fix'

Like, armor damage absorbtion might be a bit high, stuff like that.

The Stunt system is full of win though!

I haven't played it enough yet to see the problems, but I have played it enough to love the stunts. Especially with Set 2 and the addition of Exploration and Roleplaying Stunts.
