This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

There was an ancient RPG.net thread, as well as a bit of my links. So I thought I'd share.

http://www.laboiteverte.fr/portraits-de-criminels-australiens-dans-les-annees-1920/  - Mugshots from Australian Police

http://collection.hht.net.au/firsthhtpictures/resbyfield.jsp?term=New+South+Wales.+Police+Dept.+&field=AUTHOR&searchtable=&displayFormat=TABLE  - This is where the photos in first link come from, but there are thousands of various here. Good also for locations.

http://csac.buffalo.edu/mirrors/mirrorsimages.html  - Arkansas Prison Mugshoots

http://www.iheartfaces.com/ - Photography website, lots of shots.

http://strangeraday.blogspot.com/ - Random photo every day

http://muslimswearingthings.tumblr.com/ - Name says it all

http://www.flickr.com/photos/library_of_congress/sets/72157625520211184/  - American Civil War portraits.

http://spitalfieldslife.com/2011/04/02/spitalfields-nippers/ - Victorian street urchins

http://mydaguerreotypeboyfriend.tumblr.com/  - The name says it all again

And character actors and actresses:

Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

Definitely useful to pull photographs.

To keep them constant I used photographs from imdb that were restricted to the silent era.  It made for fairly consistent looking sheets. It worked really well, and they all had a consistent look to them that tended toward heroic.
