As of right now, These are the gaming conventions that I WILL BE attending in Washington State and hosting a slew of board games with a possibility of a D&D tournament at select few based on population and demand.  

Is anyone close to these and attend???

GAMESTORM, Vancouver WA

NORWESON, Seattle, WA

DRAGONFLIGHT, Seattle, WA

ENFILADE, Olympia WA


There are 2 new conventions starting this year and currently sketchy at best as far if they will occur.  One is in Tacoma and the other will be in Snohomish.

Wrong coast for me, unfortunately.

Although "Snohomish" deserves to be stolen as the name of something - a demon, a Great Spirit, a demi-god - for some game.  Perhaps the Mighty Snohomish is armed with the keen-bladed Enumclaw. ;)

WHat do they host there as far as games.  I went to the site and they posted that it will be out when it gets closer to the convention...

They have a general gaming room with boardgames, miniature games, RPG and some card games. There is also a dedicated room for CCG. They have some D&D event and Battletech tournament every year. The mix really varies by year.

Seems like there's a con lurking under just about every rock these days... and ours has been lurking for 8 years!  

The Horror Rules Mini-Con in Yakima, WA has been showcasing horror and every other type of game for pre-Halloween gaming fun for years.  It features contests, prizes, the Lottery of Death, group gaming mayhem and the ever-popular, sure-to-please midnight session of Horror Rules Survivor.  It's a 30+ player, knock down drag out roleplaying session with the last man standing winning a prize.

Wow, resurrecting an old thread.  I will be attending Gamestorm this upcoming March as a dealer.  I plan on hosting gaming sessions playing Compact Heroes and a first look, open playtest of All Your Mechs.  Promo includes limited edition cards for CH, one-time full print sheets for CH, and some other ideas for AYM.

So if you're going to Gamestorm, stop by and say hi.
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

A couple of years back my friend and I thought similarly about a village named Kossuth.

I'm on the east side of the state, in Spokane.  We have Spocon here, which is well supported, but has rather more fan than game for my tastes.  Radcon is not far from us as mentioned before, but is always hosted over the weekend following Valentine's Day which kills it for me.  Both Spocon and Radcon suffer from the fact that they never seem to be able to post any kind of game schedule until very close to the event itself.

I've gone to Dragonflight on the west side in Bellevue, the last couple years.  I'm not privy to their attendance figures, but my best guess is approximately 1000 guests.  I'm planning on hitting Gamestorm in Vancouver come March.

Yeah, Gamestorm is a good con.  We've attended there as Publishers for almost 10 years and have been very involved running games, doing demos, panels, you name it.

Got a lot of ideas for our own con here in Yakima from GS.  Ours is a lot more "people-oriented", more personal touch, but you can do that with a smaller con.  Of course, it's also cheaper ;)

Anyhoo, the HR Mini-Con and Gaming Extravaganza is coming up - y'all consider yourselves invited, we'd love to have you!
