This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

StoryWeaver

[/B][/CENTER]
Genre: Dark Humour
System: d6
Description: Deniable is an unusual game in that it focuses on the struggles the characters have in balancing their personal and secret lives. Which ends up with terribly funny situations (think, A Fish Called Wanda).  Players have to balance their characters' Stress and Cred.  Too much Stress, or too little Cred, and it's lights out!  One big difference mechanically is that players need not form a 'party' but are always involved in every scene by formally taking on roles of 'NPCs' (we call 'em extras).
It's highly entertaining and perfect for small gaming groups.

Les Livres de l'Ours books for sell are mostly french rpgs (Tranchons & Traquons, Shell Shock, 10000) and french translations (Barbarians of Lemuria, Sword & Wizardry White Box).

But we have a fine selection of free games in english (with more to come) :

Dreadful and Obscure
a game mixing the OSR mindset (think of games like Into the Odd or Pits and Perils) and the biggest hit of the 1990s : Vampire the Masquerade. And the damn thing is actually playable.

The Hard Way!
Heavily inspired by John Carpenter's Escape from New York and David Cronenberg's Scanners. "short, sweet and rammed full of ideas." the free rpg blog

A Society of Unlikely Gentlemen
One of my players described it as "The adventures of Captain Future in the 19th century".  This is the year 1895. Five years ago, the city of Atlantis rose again from the depths of the ocean. Scientific marvels pop-up everywhere, four-armed martian ambassadors walk the streets of London while Venusian amazons guide big game hunters through the jungles of their planet. Empires still scheme and fight among themselves, looking for new technologies to gain the advantage over their rivals. You play adventurers and explorers, always looking for new scientific discoveries, uncharted territories or lost treasure, to quench their thirst of knowledge, fortune and fame. No magic, no fantasy, this is scientific romance !
