Could you use say, Strands of Fate with the fluff, or is Traveller needed to make it worth buying? The premise makes me giddy with the awful things I can do to my players!

Edit: I just read that it's being re-released as The Void. Does anyone know enough to know if it'd be better to wait for that version?

Not enough is known about the Void at this stage. It will get more support than Cthonian Stars with 6 supplements planned rather than one.

The focus of the Void is simplicity and getting a player through PC creation and to playing with speed.

What do you think about using SoF? I'm not sure I want to get into Traveller, but Chthonian Stars looks kinda' sexy.

I am not a big FATE fan (especially SoF), so I am not the person to talk too :) I am waiting for The Void.

FATE or no, I went ahead and snagged the PDF for the fluff (as I'm sure I can use SoF for it) and liked what I saw in a skim. I have to remember that our solar system's huge and not fall into the "small neighborhood" mentality that playing Star Wars and WH40KRP can inspire.
