This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Yeah, quite well done; not the angle I'm taking with LotFP, but a real value to have posted on this forum, so thanks.

My pleasure; one thing that doesn't get noted enough about LotFP (perhaps because of how it's marketed) is that the base system is as flexible as any other old-school D&D game.  I'm not surprised you've found another direction to go with it--it seems to invite tinkering.  (Love the idea of a WFRP'd England, by the way.)  Myself, I'm thinking of using it to run Unhallowed Metropolis in place of that game's clunkier system.

Like I said in the review, whether or not you give a damn about "weird fantasy", its the best "gritty version" of Old-school D&D I've seen.

Fantastic work here.  I've downloaded the document after skimming this thread.   I am certain that I will find it useful in many games of mine over the years.

Thanks so much for the creative energy!
Great stuff...:hatsoff:
Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

Running: AD&D 2nd. ed.
