This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Nightfall

So honestly I didn't think we'd be stopping JUST before we got to the local elf gate. Apparently though we did because I REALLY want to get out of the Darklands. (Dunno about you all, but ochre jellies make me nervous...) Anyway this is the setup; Our gnome conjurer (who's player is kind of semi-regular in the sense he has GREAT timing) finally appears to save our butts from being assaulted in the tower from the drow mages (including the First Son). While we muddled around (with my character pleading to get out of the freaking tower AND the drow city before something worse comes long) the sorcerer and gnome conjurer decide it's a good time to raid the tower of its valuables. After a fairly protracted fight with the mages, (it doesn't help the lack of an actual meat shield or just front liner.) we manage to get outside and they notice there's another opening in the tower we missed. There, the sorcerer (with the undead bloodline) manages to command undead a Devourer (who was guarding the Tower's treasure.) and we basically take pretty much ALL the spell books and magic items we can find/carry there.

So thanks to well place teleports (we couldn't do that in the tower thanks to it being dimensional locked) we got outside the city without trouble but had to rummage around in the tunnels where I almost died from a cave -in. (Lucky me.) And two ochre jellies tried to eat us. (Though the first one was calmed/pacified by our cave druid's wild empathy checks.) Then we called it quits.

I HONESTLY wanted to finish because we're at the very end (I know this. The others know this.)

Anyway in other news/questions for the day: If you're running a horror centric PFRPG game, would you use any death metal or even power metal songs? (Not necessarily loud just you know...background.)

I always found death metal to be kinda distracting at the gaming table, especially if the other players are not fans of it.  I would prefer power metal in such a situation.

Nightfall

Well I want options for when I do start Carrion Crown...and I know I want music to help influence the mood. That and sound effects (which is why I love Syrinscape.)

Actually Carrion Crown has some nice listings for music that fits each of the adventures in the Adventure Path. For example: In The Haunting of Harrowstone, there's a couple good soundtrack recommendations (like from House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts.)

But I'll keep that in mind at least for one of the adventures.

Quote from: Cranewings;410955Cocain is more popular than rp so there is bound to be some crossover.

Quote from: Nightfall;455451Like I said, I couldn't fit the word "Pathfinder" in the title...

I'd just go with PF as an abbreviation. PFRPG has long been the abbreviation for Palladium Fantasy Role Playing Game.
