This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I didn't really care about the ennies until..

I see Eclipse Phase won a gold award for best writing.

It deserved it, maybe the ennies are right sometimes after all.

I think Paizo/Pathfinder won something in pretty much every category. Shame that PF didn't have any decent competition, because I'm sure it would still have won all those accolades.

I'm not familiar with a fraction of all those games, but the silver award to Lady Blackbird in the Best Free Product category I think is well deserved. I know it might not be everyones taste, but I thought it was a really interesting and inspiring read and it's been played succesfully a lot around here.
Running: Call of Cthulhu
Playing: Mainly boardgames

Yes it is an amazing game.

Pathfinder winning on the other hand I don't get. It is just D&D with houserules.

That's for sure. We play the hell out of it as well. Lady Blackbird also won two categories in the Indie RPG Awards.

And my game *link removed* Fiasco got an Ennies Judge's Spotlight award, so w00t!
Check out Fiasco, "Best RPG" Origins Award nominee, Diana Jones Award and Ennie Judge\'s Spotlight Award winner. As seen on Tabletop!

Last time i looked this forum wasn't for pimping.

Well, being the only D&D game with support, it had a bit of an unfair advantage.

A nice education blog.

Seriously? Then now go ahead and remove the links of forums and games other forum members have in their signatures. That's a lot more obvious pimping than anyone who just mentions his game once or twice in posts.
Hey look, that pundit character pimps his blog... and his game... how about you delete his signature first?

Worst mod decision yet on this forum.

....

Yeah, that one didn't make any sense to me, either.  I don't know Jason and I don't know Fiasco, but the post was made in context, and I generally appreciate a helpful link.

Yeah, I can't think of any game pathfinder could be competing with...;)
But seriously, I think pathfinder deserves it's accolades.

I see you do some pimping in your very own signature. Class act.
Do we really need to "take it upstairs" or can't you just say: "sorry, temporary fit of insanity" and fix it?
