This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What RPG Will You Be Playing In One Year?

Quote from: Benoist;364375Ragnarok, with Viking player characters in a world coming to its ultimate end, the return of the Gods and the Giants, and all goes to Hell in a handbasket. With an open system like HeroQuest, and reinterpreted runes based on the Futhark, that could be awesome.

Me like! :)
I might just steal this idea!

That person on EN World needs to send me a doc or something : )

Steal away, dude, steal away! I actually did something comparable using the New WoD rules (with basically dot ratings for runes, and a global Wyrd rating aside from Willpower, akin to fate or destiny), and it was a blast.

The synergy with HeroQuest could be absolutely brilliant.

RPGPundit

Quote from: RPGPundit;289973Well, if I have my way, at this time next year I'll be doing the following:

1. My legion campaign will still be going (using Star Wars D20 for the bulk of the system), starting its 4th year of game, with one more year to go.
2. We'll be on year 550 or so of the Great Pendragon Campaign, with a bit under a year to go there too.
3. My Amber campaign will probably be on its last year.
4. Hopefully, my RIFTS game will still be alive.
5. With any luck, I'll be running Starblazer Adventures; though in all likelihood I'll probably still be waiting for them to actually release the damn game, which they'll be claiming will happen sometime that month.

RPGPundit

1. My legion campaign is still going very strong.
2. We are on 548 in Pendragon.
3. My Amber campaign just finished, it died a bit prematurely due to a combination of some players dropping out and some unbalanced situations in the game leading to general malaise.
4. My RIFTS game is alive and well, and kicking ass.
5. I just started Starblazer Adventures on Saturday.
