This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I hadn't seen a lot of posting about this, so I thought I would put this here.  Sorry if it isn't in the right place but I figure it was industry news.  At this point, they have raised over 3000 dollars for Doctors without Borders.

I know there is two ways to look at this but I figure I would look at the positive.  In addition they are going to release a HUGE PDF bundle for peanuts.  They are going to release it on midnight EST as the 19th blends into the 20th.  according to an email I received and if everything turns out as planned on their end.

Flying Mice contributed to the bundle. Not just a cheapie, either. A full game.

I put in a couple of supplements.  I wanted to put in a full game but I am working on redoing the editing and adding more, so I went with the supplements that were already redone.

I noticed the donation thing, but what "huge PDF bundle" are you talking about?

My character sheet was inexistant, and when I hastly made one the GM didn\'t care to have a look at it."

It's not live yet - as the OP said it will be released around midnight. (Of course, midnight *where* is the question :) )

I can say that there is going to be over a thousand dollars worth of PDFs that will be sold for only 20 dollars...with the 20 going to Doctors without Borders.  In addition, I think they passed out coupons to people who already donated up to this point. I don't want to make a laundry because the official list isn't set yet.  By tommorrow, you should be able to go to //www.rpgnow.com or //www.drivethruprpg.com

Supposed to be Eastern Standard Time but I wanted to allow them a bit of lead time for last minute addons and the like.

WOW. If it's not a lottery, deal me in for 20 bucks...
Would be a real great deal...

Insufficient Metal

I just donated my $20 and got the bundle. Damn, it is a lot of stuff.

JimLotFP

Check out the No Dignity in Death: The Three Brides adventure in the bundle too. :)

Phantom Black

So much stuff, and not one thing among i would deem worthy to shell out 20$.
What a pity.

They don't even have the full list of items published anywhere, do they? When I look at the product listing they stop their alphabetical listings at "C."

Yeah it stops at C and when you look at it in the cart you get a random view that also cuts off.  Neither view I looked at had your item Jim, so they're having a display issue.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

I don't think it's that big a deal. It is a charity effort (no contributing publisher is making a penny) and nobody's going to read all that stuff anyway. But too bad if they can only show a fraction of what someone is getting for their donation.

Phantom Black

And that's exactly why i won't pay about 17€ into the dark.
Sorry, dt-rpg.

Blood Games II is worth the $20 by itself...(clash's pricing aside)=P

Since it runs to the end of the month, I'll be kicking my $20 in when my financial aid shows up.

Adamant Entertainment put in Savage MARS and Thrilling Tales, and TT is GREAT.

BASH! will ultimately make or break my decision to buy BASH! Ultimate Edition.

3:16 sounds interesting...been wanting to check it out.

Savage Worlds stuff is always awesome...especially if I don't have it already...=P

And of course...NONE OF THAT IS THE POINT.

Its an INCREDIBLY kind gesture by OneBookShelf and their affiliated publishers as a way of saying "Thanks for helping out!"  especially in a crushing economy, and its some great free publicity for a ton of smaller companies that could probably use it.

It also helps OneBookShelf out by not having to match the funds donated for the $20 donations, by awarding the bundle instead.  I say "kudos" all around.
