This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Pierce Inverarity;280984AM is right, though, Jeff. A convention should be a fun environment, not a proving ground.

I got that, and while 4E is not for me, I haven't prevented anyone from playing the game. Those interested in 4E have been directed to where they can find others interested in 4E at KNoxGamers.org. The fact is that while we have some local vocal 4E proponents, none have offered to run a game (even when asked). I can't force anyone to run a game if they don't want to.
"Meh."

Nihilistic Mind

I can also confirm that you pretty much can't know until it's time to run the game.

I was really worried too that I was gonna show up and nobody would be there. (I was running Amber Diceless and a little game of my own creation). I ran full tables with enthusiastic players.

All the games I attended as a player were the same: not a lot of people signed up beforehand, semi-full to full tables at the con.

I think choosing Time Slots carefully is more important than what you intend to run. Well, maybe...
Running:
Dungeon Crawl Classics (influences: Elric vs. Mythos, Darkest Dungeon, Castlevania).
DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).
