This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Decent RIFTS random encounter tables?

I seem to recall that there was such things.. are there any RIFTS books that you'd say had some good relatively generic Random Encounter Tables? By "generic" I mean not tied to a particular event in the RIFTS setting (ie. the coalition-tolkeen war, or the mechanoids, or something along those lines).

The RIFTS GM screen had random encounter tables, several IIRC, but I can't recall the specifics of the different tables (it's been a long time since I've played RIFTS). I seem to recall there being pretty generic tables on it though.

Unfortunately, it only has two: one for "random coalition patrols" (which only detail the patrol type names, you have to look up what each patrol would actually consist of over in Sourcebook 1), and one for "animal encounters" where you can run into 1d4 Bears.

Not what I was hoping for.

About 3/4 of the way down.

I made my own a long time ago, (probably long gone, but I'll check my notebooks) and I used the ones in Monsters and Animals (Paladium Fantasy) as well.
Download Secret Santicore! (10MB). I painted the cover :)

Well, um, that's an interesting page, but again that seems to be more of a "what comes out of a Rift" table than a generic (north american) wilderness encounter table.
