This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Finally completed this pulp series for Savage Worlds.
Posted HERE if there is any interest.

Hey, wow, that looks really cool.  I just started skimming some of it.  That Fresh Meat adventure is NUTS!  Very impressive that you took it to that level.

Was this a campaign that you actually ran?  Is it meant as an event-driven campaign or is more of a plot point?

I love how you use real but heroic characters.  I think Savage Worlds is quite a good system for mundane characters that stand out from the crowd.

I think maybe a general overview of what this project is all about on your homepage would be very helpful to people who are coming to check out what you are doing.  I might not have read further had I not seen that you are the same guy who did the excellent Tramp Steamer document.

Nice job, I'll keep reading.

My vision of "Pulp" is ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

It all started on the PEG board with one of those make an adventure using "this" threads. I got on a roll and then started linking them together.

Next thing you know I had a whole series of linked "One Shot" style adventures.

It mutated a bit as I worked on it but I'm pleased on how it came out. A cross between Action! pulp and Call of Cthulhu.

I tried to make it a "period piece." Not intentionally edgy but, within the times.

The Untold Stories (of the Great Flood) - Introduction was supposed to give an overview.
Do you feel that it is not enough?

It would be nice to get feedback on this series of One-Shots.

The next thing I want to work on is a series in the same style based on Andre Norton's series about the Solar Queen. I hope to also draw additional ideas from other related books not directly linked in that series, such as The X Factor, Moon of Three Rings, Catseye, Forerunner Foray and more.

With some suggestions from the many talented people here, these adventures might get some good play time.

(I may never be as good as "grubman" and his Fate of the Terra Ariel but if I'm Good Enough, then I'm happy.)

In your opinion should I add more?

"A Croak in the Night"
Frogmen attacking a plantation.

"A Spirited Rescue"
Using a Moonshiner's speedboat to race a pregnent woman to the hospital.

"Awash in History"
The fight over newly exposed Civil War treasure.

Etc...

The Solar Queen books are my buddy, Steven's, favorite formative sci-fi works AND he's a Savage Worlds fan. You should definitely work on this so that I can play in a sci-fi game. :D

Since there is already Tales of the Forlorn Hope[/b], you don't have to wait for me.

I may get distracted and write about a late 20's fishing trawler along the eastern seaboard instead.
