That's awesome news, and an awesome game. I still have my original copy.


What I'd strongly suggest is that the support material have to do with details about Elizabethan/renaissance culture and setting.  See movies like Capitan Alatriste or Elizabeth for inspiration, plus anything shakespeare ever wrote.

I vaguely remember this game.  I remember being disappointed that there were no orcs (:p), but thinking that it was pretty cool nonetheless.

Good to see that it's available again!  I'm going to pick it up next time I shop for pdfs ...

I am happy to have re-published this game, as i was a huge fan myself when it first came out.

As far as the support material goes, i am most of the way through a companion, although it will still need illustrating, playtesting etc.  It will contain rules for guns, more livings, more magic rules, supernatural creatures, name lists, price lists, and a huge pile of setting material.  There will also be some paper miniatures and other play aids.

I am also working on various freebies, including an adventure, maps etc

Any more ideas, requests etc are welcome.  This is a great game, and despite its age, deserves to be played.

The new pdf is the same as the original book.  It has been scanned, OCR'd, and re-assembled, so there may be some tiny formatting changes in one or two places, but otherwise, the same.

I din't want to alter anything, because i wanted it to be the original.

Out of interest, how did you manage to get the rights to it? And is Alexander Scott involved in the revival at all?
I am no longer posting here or reading this forum because Pundit has regularly claimed credit for keeping this community active. I am sick of his bullshit for reasons I explain here and I don\'t want to contribute to anything he considers to be a personal success on his part.

I recommend The RPG Pub as a friendly place where RPGs can be discussed and where the guiding principles of moderation are "be kind to each other" and "no politics". It\'s pretty chill so far.

I actually got the right by ringing up puffin and asking!  It has cost a fair bit of money, and taken more than a year but i think it will be worth it.

The original author is only involved by giving his permission.  He is a senior academic a university now, so presumably has other things on his mind!

As i understand it, he is a mathematician.  And i am not suprised either.  Given that he wrote this, at that early era, whilst still at school is incredibly impressive.
