This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Games that you've always been interested to try, but never managed to do so?

That\'s pretty much how post modernism works. Keep dismissing details until there is nothing left, and then declare that it meant nothing all along. --John Morrow

Quote from: AosHeh, if i get into Harvard I'll take you up on that. Ironically enough I'm running a True20 game right now in a setting totally influenced by Vance's dying Earth and Smith's Zothique, and we could use another player.

Let me know if you get in, Aos! I haven't run RW for a couple of years. :D

Possible, but highly unlikely. :D

I'm not worried though, I've already been offered a spot somewhere else.
You are posting in a troll thread.

Too many to list, malheureusement.

#1 is GURPS.  I have the core 3rd with a few supplements and the 4th core. I've just never had the chance to pull the trigger.

Man, some of you need to move to New York. I need people interested in Wraith, Cyberpunk 2020, Hackmaster or GURPS. Players around here seem to only play nWoD (which I have no problem with) or D&D 3.x (which I loathe with a burning passion rivaling the fires of one-thousand suns).

Maybe it's time to start a gaming commune (the the core rule being that once you act like a pedantic asshole you get the boot - which means the commune will die within the first week)?

Well, I *do* like the Conan OGL game. Is that close enough? :haw:

Play Hârnmaster, accept no substitute!

I always wanted to play Ghostbusters, never found a copy or a person with a copy.

of RPGs the one I haven't tried but have on my shelf is DragonQuest.  Not that I think I'll switch to it but just to give it a try.

EDIT:  Another I have only pdfs of is Dragon Warriors, which seems very interesting.

I will leave off all the board/war/bookcase games I have acquired on e-bay that I always wanted to play back in the day but never coudl afford them.

Balbinus

Empire of the Petal Throne, with a ruleset slightly less bizarre than the original but not as complex as those that followed.

And a GM who knows it's good pulp, not anthropology 501.

Tyberious Funk

Traveller
Paranoia
Feng Shui

I used to want to play CoC, but I finally got the opportunity earlier this year and the experience wasn't great.  It was only a one-shot, and I'm pretty sure the GM would agree it wasn't his best effort.  But it was still enough to help me realise that a typical CoC game is not run the way I expected (or desired).
