This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What is the next internet-RPG darling?

Just like the title says. Let's predict what the next internet-RPG darling will be. It could easily be called the next RPGnet darling. Usually, it's evident, but currently I'm at a loss. So, what's your guess?
Timeless Games/Better Mousetrap Games - The Creep Chronicle, The Fifth Wheel - the book of West Marque, Shebang. Just released: The Boomtown Planet - Saturday Edition. Also available in hard copy.

I guess Scion sounds probable. At least in short-term perspective.

DnD 4e?

It might not be a "darling" but it might explain why there aren't any obvious ones for now. All the hype is currently reserved for this one thing.

Cthulhutech.

That game John Wick is working on, and which last time I checked sounded like a blend of Reign and HeroQuest.

Dresden Files.

What's this thread doing in the Off Topic forum, btw?

Starblazer was getting some attention but I'm predicting Dresden Files as the next internet RPG darling.

I stuck it here because I didn't know where the conversation would go. So far, it's civil enough.

That's a good call.  The only thing is that it's release date is so vague (and seems to be constantly extended) that it may have used up a good chunk of its darling status before it's even out of the gate.

If it comes out soon enough (i.e., to beat out other potential darlings), then possibly Far West.

Key ingredients of hotness: (1) FATE engine. (2) Bizarre genre mashup to appeal to jaded RPGnet palate. But based on this it sounds like GMSkarka is interested in doing something more than just exploiting a few hot buzzwords--which could ultimately cut either way in attaining darling status.

Oh yeah. FATE is definitely the darling system of choice.

Speaking of darlings, what happend to DitV? Old Darlings are often discarded when new darlings comes along. Damn those fickle gamers.

At the very least, OHT, it will be the RPGSite darling.

John Wick's game Houses of the Blooded will most likely be the next RPG.net darling.

I plan on getting it, it sounds awesome.
