This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Okay, heres what I got so far.

The main typeface is PalatinoLinotype~Roman 12pt. No kerning.
Use ItalicBold for the notes, optional rules stuff, also 12pt. No kerning.
Using some bizarre (proboly freebie) front for Subheadings, BretagneGaelic 13.98 pt, no kerning.
Strange, page number font on the bottom, DorovarFLF-Carlous 12 pt, with a -1pt kerning.
JI-Lepton For the top page headers 12pt with a -1pt kerning, and -49 spacing ajustment. I Suspect they used Framemaker to type this in.
Large subheadings are 18pt BretagneGaelic with a +4 spacing, and no kerning.
The charts are all in BretagneGaelic 12pt, they used a 20% screen in the back.
Standard indents, and typical bullet lists.
Page Format is as follows, 1.5 inches left right, with .5 on the top and bottom, and with a standard gutter ( 0.5 inches) for the column breaks. All text is left justified, except the second top page header, which is centered. The page number on the bottom is in the middle of the page.

Now the report. Okay looks like "clash" is the author and the File name is FTA.book (Which is Framemaker 7.0..nailed it!) made with acrobat 6.0.

Pictures: pretty much all done in photoshop, with a filter. Im leaning twoards paint daubs or drybrush, with a thin pencil to line important details. Font is the same as the page header, larger with a embossed filter and filled with a gold color.

PalatinoLinotype Should come with your typical word program beacuse this ones a standard $ font. =(

I Suggest to use word for best results for look and feel replication.

That concludes my analisys and break down, and happy page replication to all. Ill have some good stuff up this weekend (After I read the book fully)

I´m a bit lost: How many tables are we allowed to submit, and do we have to format them into a pdf along Clash´s lines to be a regualr entry?
If there can\'t be a TPK against the will of the players it\'s not an RPG.- Pierce Inverarity

I dont think theres a limit, and I provided the template for thouse who are going to make pdfs to look like pages. =) im a nerd.

RPGPundit

You're allowed to make as many entries as you like, and they do NOT have to be in any special format, just post them as a regular entry.

Nailed it all, sithson, except I used PhotoImpact, not Photoshop, for the illos.

Just a comment:  I love the "What's going on here" entry, and would love to see it developed and enriched.

I can come up with my own "missions", but any chart that help me flesh out a place with cool details and so on is worth its weight in printer ink cartridges.  On that note, the random tavern details one is really cool.

The "Weird town laws" is fun, but perhaps a bit too gonzo for my taste.  That being said, I bet I'd use it on short notice if I was out of ideas.  If it were a subtable for a more general "stuff about the town" table -- that would be sweet.

Keep up the good work guys.

Dr Rotwang!

Sithson, any particular reason the "Open Ended Silly Random and strange Dungeon Generator" entries are 2d6 and not...well...

...okay.  Have 12 entries, in 2 sets of 6; first die roll tells you to roll on either half of the chart.

Were you intent on a bell curve?

At first glance Doc, I thought that was the method you were going about judging the contest.  Dr Rotwang's random winner of random table contest table.

sithson

sort of... im working on my masterpeice right now, so busy formating that up nicely.

sithson

Okay that last was wasn't it, but im still working furuiosuly here in the back for some other charts.

jrients

Sithson, you're scoring namecheck points for putting that last chart in a URL containing the words 'key of solomon'.  Which of course leads me to the following idea: random demon generator.

Zircher's golem generator is similar to that.  Given the rate at which he produces random generators, I wouldn't be surprised to see a demon generator within the day.

jrients

Ah, but here's the catch: I want crunchy FtA! stats in those demon charts!  Just like the version in the back of the 1st edition DMG or the old pre-AD&D one on the last page of Best of Dragon volume I.

That would be cool.  You might be able to set it up so that each variation adds to a monster stat, like flight also increases speed, a spiked tail increases melee value, stuff like that.
