This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: D-ko on March 12, 2025, 10:24:32 PMI've been writing a eulogy and need more time before I get back to this. I haven't forgotten-- just not in a good emotional state to accurately sort and list these.

You're good man, take all of the time you need.

Bridge Commander is an Evangelion like

Deep Blue Girls is inspired by Kanti-Colection and Azure Lane

Iron Caskets: Steel Glory has a Girls Und Panzer variant

Project Sidewinder Would work for Ace Combat or Project Wingman I'd assume (The later being a clone of the former)

Cruelty Squad The Physical Sensation Edition is an adaption of Cruelty Squad

Danmaku Rhapsody of Spirit Axcelerate is yet another Touhou game (Apparently Jank and getting a remake)

Endless Adventures is based off the Endless series (IE Endless Space, Endless Legend ETC)

Fear and Hunger: Solus in Somnium is based on Fear and Hunger

Stopping here for the adaptations part of the site as they're all obvious thankfully.

There's an official Kantai one, but all I can find of the fan translation is the TTS mod (the link is old and dead and the download doesn't work on IA) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=521711216&searchtext=Kan-colle

Witch Hunter Siegfried

Also suggestion, especially given how far down Fate/Lonely Dance is on the page I'd suggest linking right to it rather then the Sprug site https://drive.google.com/file/d/10d3MJzRTYaLx8__TxcjaGWkN9iuJAbKn/view

Touhou with Licensing is weird, Zun allows anyone to make fan works without a cut or the like, now Naratograph he contributed too, but Yuugi Flowers was sold at Comiket or something like that.

Wow. Imagine seeing that on a convention roster. "Fun for all ages, " they said! Bring the kids!

Btw the instructions for the stranger things D&D adventure is just the quick start rules and not the adventure, also IK Record Lodross War is based on a D&D Basic campaign so that could work for it, or Sword World which has official supliments and a fan translation project.

Edit: completely rewrote the post as I missed Terra Primate already being on the list lol

Zalman

Old School? Back in my day we just called it "School."

Tonight I will catch everything up-- finally got through the grief process. I feel fine now apart from that I really need to get this list caught up.

Quote from: Witch Hunter Siegfried on March 05, 2025, 10:24:37 PMNP, forgot to mention, for Phantasmal Land I made fillable character sheets on the IA page if you'd prefer to link that one instead of the archived site https://archive.org/details/touhou-tale-of-phantasmal-land/Touhou%20Tale%20of%20Phantasmal%20Land%20Character%20Sheet/
Made a section for character sheets because it's gonna clutter the main page the way it's set up but archiving character sheets is obviously an important part of this!

Quote from: Witch Hunter Siegfried on March 05, 2025, 11:06:30 PMA couple off Data Fortress 2020 (All Cyberpunk 2020 Conversions)

Ghost in the Shell: http://datafortress2020.com/fileproject/details.php?image_id=777

Apple Seed (saw on the list so remind me of this conversion here, found the site originally from Interlock Unlimited) http://datafortress2020.com/fileproject/details.php?image_id=471

these appear to be PDF versions of the ones already listed? unsure if there's any difference or which should be prioritized

Quote from: yosemitemike on March 05, 2025, 11:11:39 PMGuardians of Order made a game based on Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai starring Forest Whitaker.  It's not really a franchise.  Still an odd choice for a licensed rpg.  It's the first one I remember seeing where the default style of play was 1 player and 1 gm.
Rare and appreciated.

Quote from: Witch Hunter Siegfried on March 06, 2025, 03:11:24 AMAlso for one no one here's probably heard of, Legendaria, it's a play by text RPG (as in that's what it's exclusively built for) inspired by Fate (the series my PFP is from, not the RPG) was told about it by one of the players in my campaign https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/385800/legendaria-core-rulebook-expansions

Also they made a Not-Soul-Eater game too ((Black)Paper Moon is even the name of one of it's opening songs lol) https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/463519/black-paper-moon
Vindicated just got their 'Spellslingers' back after a huge legal battle that cost the creator his girlfriend.

Okay, everything should be accounted for. A few things I need to put way more time than a night into, listed in the new 'notes' section, but I'm going to call this up-to-date now. Whew. And thanks to Jhkim for adding the new 'licensed?' column and being a collaborator in this. It's a dream come true working with a person who inspired what I'm doing in the first place!

Edit: I see a few of the early suggestions were actually never added and I will be double-checking for accuracy later this week since some have been missed.
