This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

But it's an rpg forum, isn't it? Or supposed to be? Just ban all political discussion.

Even when they do that, they don't really do that.

They always, always allow certain groups/people to be the subject of drive-by comments, quips, and snark.

If you try to do that to unapproved targets, you get modded for not being 'inclusive', etc.

Every "politically neutral" forum I've seen does this to various degrees. Every single one.

The truth is that the left are psychologically incapable of any kind of political neutrality. They can never truly just let things be. They always have to get some kind of dig in at the other side...

They had that discussion years ago. rpg.net is openly partisan and political. Agreement with their political positions is mandatory.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

I'm pretty sure it was, or at least an earlier version of it was.

"Over a year of serious debate."

So, considering that they are talking about his "administration," it has been more than a year since they first noticed the signs.
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

That has been a rule over there since Trump's first term.

TBP was firmly left-wing back when the staff was calling Bush (43) a white supremacist during his first term.

Yeah, they're politically neutral and ideologically significantly left of Karl Marx.

Still, I think what they're saying with this is that they'll ban you for anything which can be interpreted as supporting Trump in the broadest sense.  So don't go saying you like Donald Duck cartoons over there right now as that's probably close enough to cop a permaban.

So they debated for a year, yet are in near-unanimous agreement... meaning they cried into their echo chamber for months before deciding to renew a virtue signal from seven years ago. Fascinating.
As far as gaming is concerned, I have no socio-political nor religious views.
