This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Probably it didn't attract enough attention or wasn't active, and the owner deleted it.  It's weird that such a thread got bumped.

My experience with Discord is as follows. We play on Roll20 and the video chat has been sketchy, really sketchy. One of the players set up a Discord and sent us invites. We do video chat through the discord and play on Roll20 with the videochat turned off and everything has gone smoothly since. I've not explored Discord as a forum or anything but it's been very helpful as a video chat.

I have done text only sessions on Discord. Not much different from online site chat based sessions. Just need a dice roller plugin usually for Discord.
