This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Why in hell can't I get a copy of the theatrical version or the original home release. All that is currently in print is the director's cut. I don't want another new version, I just want the old version that I love!

Isn't the newest release going to be a Criterion 5-disk monster box? If so, I'm really hoping it includes the non-directer's cut. I've worn out a couple VHSs of the original cut. I dig the voice-over. Can't help it.
Employment Counselor: So what do you like to do outside of work?
Oblivious Gamer: I like to play games: wargames, role-playing games.
EC: My cousin killed himself because of role-playing games.
OG: Jesus, what was he playing? Rifts?

Always good to be reminded that Rutger Haur has had some very cool cinematic moments :D

I still cannot find my copy of the soundtrack and it irks me to no end.  In my opinion the ending credits theme is one of the best sci-fi tracks ever composed.

Wheeee.

That is all.  Thank you.
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

If you NEED to be reminded there is already no hope for you.  For shame David, for shame.

Proud to claim over half a dozen Rutger Haur movies in his collection...
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

Yup, Rutger's the man. Anybody ever seen the dutch TV series Flesh & Blood was based on?
