This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hey all. So years ago I ended up with 2 copies of the Stars without Number Universal omnibus
I reviewed it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNgreLeTRnw

Anyway, I don't need 2 copies and I know there's lots of OSR style Scifi RPG fans here.

So I'm giving away my spare copy. I don't think you can buy these anymore, they were only available as a special one off run on Indiegogo or kickstarter or something.

Anyway, if you want it, let me know. I might even cover postage if it's not too crazy (depending on where you are)
I only want to give it to someone who would use something like this, not just stick it on a shelf gathering dust or selling it off.

It's got huge amount of background material and is a really good read if you're into Scifi OSR. OR just want to use the fluff/GM tables for rather than the game system itself.

Here's a pic of the one I'm giving away.

Anyway, let me know in this thread if you want it.

I would be interested. I'm currently trying to reboot an old scifi campaign for my group. I'll send a PM.

Almost correct, but not quite.
Those were only given to backers at a certain pledge level for the Kickstarter of the SWN revised edition.
However, the DriveThru code sent to those backers does not have either an expiration date or a number of copies limit.
So any of those backers can simply use it again to print more copies of the book.

Yeah I was one of those backers.
Ok yeah those backers could order more than once I suppose, but would they?

I have 2 copies as the first one that was sent had some pages that weren't aligned that well (still readable tho), so another was sent.
This one I'm giving away is the one where some pages are slightly out of alignment.

danskmacabre

So far 2 responses.
I'll wait for the end of the week and randomly determine who gets it.
I'm really glad some will find it useful, would be a shame for it to goto waste.

I missed out on the KS or I would have ordered one of them...what is in it beyond the normal book?

Well apart from the 1st edition core rules, it contains ALL non 2nd edition SWN material up to the point that book was produced.
So lots of extra rules, and huge amounts of background material.

It's not very useful to have at the gaming table, as it's unwieldy and inconvenient reference on the fly, but a great read when prepping material or you just want to sit back and have a good, long read.

Had 2 responses for this so I tossed a coin and chose one.
I'll PM both to let them know who got it and to get address details off the person who got it.
Sorry to the person who didn't get it, I only had one to give away.

danskmacabre

I just PM'd both people and asked the winner for a address.
If you didn't get the PM, let me know.

D'oh! Would have liked to have made it 1-in-3...maybe next time.

If you had actually asked for it I would have added you in.
You just asked questions about it.

danskmacabre

So the person I sent this to ages ago and tracking shows it was delivered ages ago.
I have sent you a PM multiple times asking if it arrived and am ignored.
Did you get it or not?

Would really appreciate a response at the very least of receipt.

finarvyn

So sorry. I got the book and it's awesome!

I had planned on letting you know about delivery, but I had a password issue that is now resolved and after that I just forgot to get back to you. My apologies! :(

Wow what a crap excuse.

Before I PMd you I checked your posting history and could see you were posting, so I call bullshit on the "Couldn't reset my password" poor excuse.

I even bloody paid for postage (which wasn't cheap), as I really wanted this to be used.

I tried to avoid posting in a public forum, perhaps you were away or something, but it was just sheer laziness. You probably only bothered replying at all as I asked publicly what was going on.

Well, that was shitty behaviour and on that note, rant over and I'm over this.

Don't bother replying though, you're wasting my time.
