This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I already fucked yours and she regrets giving birth to a such a hypocritical piece of shit everyday. If your going to take cheap shots at people parents I'm going to do the same

Quote from: Larsdangly;1094234B: This used to be my main rpg discussion site, and I still drop by every day or two to see what is going on. I don't consider it hypocritical to talk to people you've been talking to for years, whether you agree with them or not. The point of my post is that this site is circling the toilet because of the rabid dipshitery of a dozen or so big mouthed alt-right fanatics. They should hear that from someone who has been part of their extended community.

Which makes you not just a hypocrite one full of crap. As I said when it is convenient  for you you love this place. No problems with the politics and the forum members. When it is time for the "woe is me why do I keep coming here" and to kiss SJW ass and take it up the ass by them suddenly we are the bad people and full of alt-right members. I am so sick of you and other similar forum members are so two faced. If you hate this place so much why do you keep coming here. I was banned from rpg.net and there are ways around the ban you know what I no longer go there. It's not the first time you do drive by where you lash out at the forum and the people here. When you need it you come back and try to be one of the guys.

No one is forcing anyone to come here. No gun is being held at anyone head or a family member threatened with death if you or I no longer come here. I can only assume that your trying to brown nose your SJW buddies by screaming how loud and woke you are. Suffering from some kind of mental disorder which makes you go to forums you supposedly hate going too. Or just an hypocritical asshole my bet is on the last one.

Quote from: Blood Axe;1094241Im sure you are going to run right over to RPGnet and post the same to Liberals there , right?

He won't. Too afraid to get banned by TBP and lose the admiration of his SJW gaming buddies. It is usually the same forum members who lurk in the background and once a month need to fulfil some kind of SJW quota on calling this place alt-reich and how bad we are as a forum. Yet are cowards and lack the stones to call out rpg.net for fear of being banned

Quote from: Larsdangly;1094234" Alt-Right" ? ROFLMAO!   Fucking pathetic....
Don't like a political thread? Here is new concept!  Don't click on it!  Wow.  AMAZING!!! Tell your friends. As seen on TV! Buy now!! Buy one, get two free! (just pay shipping)

That is why I them both hypocrites and full of crap. They try and act like they are forced to come here and no one is let alone forcing them to click on a thread let alone come to this forum. Gotta keep up the victim complex to score points with fellow SJWs

Quote from: Larsdangly;1094234Tons of gaming thread here.  Just read them, skip the things you don't like and stop being a bitch.  You aren't censored and banned here for having a different opinion like other boards. Plenty of Libtards and Left wing Fascists here. None banned.

Every now and then the same posters pull the same bullshit and act like we are the worst place on earth. Nothing will convince them otherwise because we can't have anything go against the narrative. Anything that goes against does not exist. TPB has been shown to be factually worse than this forum yet they say nothing and keep coming here to stir up shit. The wonder and get offended why they get push-back and insulted.

So you will be deleting your account now ?   BYE BYE!!!

He won't imo. I think he gets a rush or thrill coming over here and virtue signalling and saying how this site and the people who post here are terrible human beings. This is the poster who threatened to put me on their ignore list. Did then took me off it because apparently they seem to have trouble with the concept of ignoring someone.

Quote from: NeonAce;1094248This thread is full of chill dudes that are a joy to be around. Being in their company is like stepping out into the warm wide world on the first 65 F day of spring after a long winter. We all asked each other how our families are doing, and wished each other the best. It was rad.

So...how is the family doing? The kids? Wife, husband, significant other? Any fun plans for the Summer?

Quote from: Larsdangly;1094222This site has gone so far the drain of partisan political blather. I don't think I've visited it once in the last couple of years without seeing several purely political threads...

Start some threads about gaming, then. You've got some great ideas, why not post them? Be the change you want to see. If it doesn't work, at least you tried. I know I enjoiy the boards more when I post about gaming rather than politics.

Spinachcat

Larsdangly, you are welcome to skip anything political and only engage in RPG discussions. Personally, I'd prefer everything political, including game industry politics, to be discussed outside of the main forum.

I have started six RPG-only threads in the last month or so. You are welcome to post in them.

More importantly, you are welcome to start threads specific to games you love.

Quote from: Blood Axe;1094242So you will be deleting your account now ?   BYE BYE!!!

No, Larsdangly should not delete his account.

Larsdangly is absolutely welcome to post his thoughts, regardless if we agree with them.

The right for posters to bitch and whine about theRPGsite and its deplorable members is a feature, not a bug, for a free speech site.

The joke is this: SJWs must silence their opposition. If we want to smash the SJWs, we must do the opposite. We must encourage dialogue, discussion and create spaces for free speech, regardless of the endless  "I fucked your mother" posts.

A) I find "chill dudes" boring as fuck.

B) I live in LA so 65 F is colder than Christmas.

C) TheRPGsite is a moshpit. Always has been.

Quote from: Aglondir;1094261Start some threads about gaming, then. You've got some great ideas, why not post them? Be the change you want to see.

I find that argument odd, since it assumes forum-reading is always active.  A lot of forum people lurk, some people only post like once a month or so or, or don't post often.  I was told something similar in another thread when I brought up a similar concern.  I might make 10 or 20 posts in an entire year.

It's true that the people complaining could contribute, but I do believe it is also a valid thing for people to sometimes look and say "hey, this place is less enjoyable" or "the conversations keep drifting into politics", and express it, especially if the forum has changed over time.  Think of that as a canary in a coal mine.  Maybe people saying this enjoy the forum, but it might be getting influenced by just a very small minority of posters who decide to post constant political rants, etc.  And maybe they just want to say "hey, tone it down a bit", or "hey, can we stay on topic please".

Because, most people will just leave if they find it less enjoyable, and like other forums the quality of conversation will start suffering.  In the past, forums used to have a lot more activity and people could be satisfied with a single forum but now people have to go to a dozen forums to have that same diversity of conversation, as I feel old-style forums in general are becoming an endangered species.  So I do hope some posters have a little self-awareness and take the criticism constructively.

This is why Spinachat is my favorite poster on The RPG Site.

Also, Spinachat, I have begun writing down my ideas for CyberMetal, taking the first steps in creating a fleshed-out setting and I will be expanding on it more throughout the week.

And to get back on topic, this place is infinitely better than RPGnet precisely because we're a bastion of free speech and Pundit typically doesn't ban people unless they truly deserve it.

Heck, Ras Algethi and Alathon still aren't banned yet and they're probably the only posters on here who I'd consider true examples of "Alt-Reich Fascists" and haven't been banned yet. And Ras hasn't posted in a long time AFAIK.

If you don't like The RPG Site, you don't have to post here. But don't try to defend the Neo-Bolsheviks at RPGnet.

I mean, I may be Anti-SJW, but I am NOT Alt-Right by any rational definition of the word.

Heck, when I first joined this forum back in late 2015-early 2016, I was unironically a Bernie Bro and a supporter of the Democratic Party. Of course, that was before I realized that Bernie Sanders has gone senile.

I still hold true to a lot of Blue Dog/Union Democrat principles, but the Democratic Party has abandoned me in pursuit of woke neoliberal corporatists and Millennial socialist wannabes, so I voted for Jill Stein in 2016 and will likely vote for Trump in 2020. I also vote in local and state elections every year, and the only reason why I voted for Ralph Northam for governor in 2017 is because there weren't any good third-party candidates on the ballot as far as I know.

Consider who owns the site, and who made this post in the first place. If Pundy wanted to boot all the culture war stuff, all he has to do is do it.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

Quote from: Omega;1094089Bringing this back on topic. Round 5e being announced the loony bin faction in 4e that was strangling it to death did flip out and go after Mearls and anyone else involved. They even tried to rally to sabotage the playtests.

Round and round it goes.

4E is the gift from Hell that keeps on giving.

When you think you've gotten to the end of the considerable harm it did to the hobby, it manages to reveal some hitherto concealed corner of Pandora's Box. It then proceeds to poke every single demon hiding in that corner until they come out screaming obscenities and start killing and maiming.

Quote from: Armchair Gamer;1093777I was there, I remember it ... but that was individuals, not a corporate policy, and came at the tail end of the campaign. Next year, I think it might happen earlier and as an official company decision.

When it came out in 2016, it was Pramas and Nikchick who were strongly pushing it, and the people involved were making very clear intonations that anyone who stood up to the #gamers4her movement would be hounded out of the hobby.

I stood up, of course. I also personally posted to every man-jack of those on the list who were on G+, the day after Trump won, laughing in their fucking faces.

I think it is of course incredibly likely that the same crowd will be pushing earlier and harder and trying to viciously attack any of the game designers who object.

I seriously look forward to the day after the election and getting to personally message every single one of them again.

Quote from: sureshot;1093785I love how they think their boycotts will accomplish anything. SJWs threatened to boycott both Frog God Games and Steve Jackson Games. Neither did much. I doubt the outrage brigade will hurt Wotc much either. Os their actual proof of MeRls doing something improper with Zak or is it more faux outrage
