This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ugh.  They're STILL trying to paint CBS/Paramount as the big bad evil dudes, rather than Alec Peters, who was lining his own pockets whilst shitting all over the copyrighted properties?

In the long run that project caused nothing but headaches and hassles for all the other fans out there doing similar videos just for the fun of it.
Suddenly they had to get paranoid about copyright and lawyers.  When all they were doing was what we did as kids "Lets Pretend"  - but they had video cameras.

Still here, still alive, at least Seven years now...

It was inevitable really though. Sooner or later they would have done it anyhow. Possibly not as heavy handed. But they would have eventually used someone as an excuse. Such as the Star Wreck series had it not effectively ended, even though it is a parody.
