WWIW, the specific forum this is emanating from seems to be for forum-based roleplay-by-post stuff, which isn't really the same thing as tabletop RPGs and tends to have a lot of women involved - often teenage girls and young women, if not younger, which is why what this person is claimed to be doing (coaxing people into video chatting with him under false pretences) is so alarming.
I am no longer posting here or reading this forum because Pundit has regularly claimed credit for keeping this community active. I am sick of his bullshit for reasons I explain here and I don\'t want to contribute to anything he considers to be a personal success on his part.

I recommend The RPG Pub as a friendly place where RPGs can be discussed and where the guiding principles of moderation are "be kind to each other" and "no politics". It\'s pretty chill so far.

When I MUDded, I had to play a female character, because my particular class was female-only (Witch, Weatherwaxian). The first night I was on, there was a guy going through all the witches online, trying to ask them out on a date.

Adaughterable Daughter is going to get thoroughly educated on this sort of creep before I let her online on her own.

The female posters here are great. So are the men. But still if someone does engage in predatory behavior or harrasses them via PM, there is no shame or weakness in reporting that to the mods. And the same thing goes for male posters if someone is stalking and harrassing them.
