So both together is ~$400. Now I'm donating the first year of the Companion Site's costs so for this year we are looking @ ~$200.

My hope is over the first year we can build up money to buy some good adds and such elsewhere to drive in more traffic. After the first year some of the profits from the companion site will be used to pay for the costs for both sites. If it turns out that we make more than we need for both site + advertising we will look into ways to give the community more services and content.

The more the site grows the higher the cost will be though. So what we pay this year maybe much less than next year.

Have you submitted the Companion (and the RPGSite for that matter) to the search engines? It boosts traffic.

yes, google and yahoo.

I have had crawlers from both of them and other serach engines hit the site.

Big Companion banner. Simple but to the point. I could add something like "All you Gaming needs" or some such if you want. Let me know.

the links you have on your site are helping. We have had server referal hits com from your site. Some might be you testing, but still people are using them.

Erm, I haven't tested them yet.

However, I guess I can take that as I sign they are working.

Yaeah that would be good. I was testing the colors with the smaller one and it looks nice.
