This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

How to I set my account to NOT auto-subscribe to threads?

I have two questions I am hoping to get help with, both related to thread subscriptions.

  • How to I unsubscribe to a thread I have become auto-subscribed to by posting in said thread?
  • How do I set my account to NOT auto-subscribe me to threads I post to?

I've looked through my account settings but I don't see anything relating to unsubscribing to threads, though I hope I am just missing the seting.

I've tried using the link at the bottom of alert msg. emails for unsubscribing to a thread, but it takes me to a page at the site showing this error msg "An invalid threadid or forumid was specified."

The below is an example of the link provided in an alert email to unsubscribe to said thread.

1. Thread Tools menu (top of thread): Unsubscribe from this Thread
2. Settings: General Settings: Default Thread Subscription Mode: Do not subscribe
