This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sock puppet?
Lollipops comment?

Just curious because I don't see the 'Charge of the Light Brigade" post.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

I was curious, as well. It's not like he was doing a lot of gaming posts, but it's strange there wasn't even an "Now you're banned" post.

I suspect it might be related to a few things.  The first (and most likely) was that he would often go into a thread and post nonsense one liners meant to get a reaction out of people.  I suspect that would fall under "trolling the forums"

The second is that he had "I eat babies" in his title.  And for the life of me I can't recall who exactly had that same title over at TBP, but I'm almost positive they were part of the usual suspects, in which case they were just here to troll anyway.

Either way, great job Mistwell for bringing such a quality poster to this site.
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

Jokes about being a paedophile are only funny up until a certain limit.

(That limit, by the way, is "zero".)

So my guess is "site disruption", because generally being a cunt isn't a bannable offense.

It was probably a bait ban op.

Actually, it sort of is when you recall that Mistwell brought him here.  You'd think that if they were as good as friends as alluded to, Mistwell would have either already known he was a sock, or he would have told Mistwell that he had already had an account here.

Nah, I suspect Mistwell knows the guy at Circvs Maximvs and ENWorld, where he (Kzach) is a troll extraordinaire. I doubt Mistwell knew what he would do once he was back on the RPG Site (that is, troll endlessly and be a disruptive cunt all the time). So... I wouldn't think of them as "butt buddies", if you see what I mean.

Mistwell is a pretty intelligent guy.  I think he did know.  Especially since just a couple months ago he told him that he pisses people off just out of boredom. I gotta think Mistwell knows his posting style full well, and must have known that the same behavior there would be done here.  So why he thought he would be a good fit?

Got me.  Maybe Mistwell had a lot of popcorn to go through.

OK yeah I see that. Apparently Mistwell likes Kzach a lot more than I thought. I guess Mistwell thinks of this place as the Far West of RPGdom where everyone pisses off everyone else, and thought Kzach would fit like a fish to a pond. It *could* have worked. It didn't happen because we do have rules about people knowingly creating socks and posting for pure disruption LULZ all the time.

That seems pretty speculative to me. See no reason to conclude that. And mistwell isn't responsible for the behavior of another poster in the fist place (even if he introduces that poster to the forum).

Never meant to imply he was.  Just that I can't see how he didn't see this coming a mile away.  Heck, even Rooster saw it when he said he doubted he'd last a month on the first day he created his sock.

He may have figured he would fit in better and woudn't just go full smash into the scenery. This is the sort of forum where I sometimes see folks stop in to troll or stir up trouble initially and then they turn into regulars. The roosters predictions certainly proved true though :)
