This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). News Stories Wanted!

Ok folks, Pooka has the news stories system up and functional. The current process is a fairly simple one.

In order to submit a story you need to click on the right hand side "create content" link. choose the "story" subcatagory.

In the creation window, feel free to select as many News Story catagories as you would like. you can ctrl + click in order to select multiple catagories. please, select all catagories that apply - so for a D&D supplement, you could select Wizards of the Coast, D&D, D20, and Roleplaying Games. it does fit into all those catagories, so why not?

the next box is a tricky one, and it's one that you'll want to leave alone. Please leave it selected as , rather than "article" or "story hour."

Then, post the text of your story in the box. there is a 25 word minimum to the text box, so, rather than just a link, give us a spoiler of the article, and then provide us with a link.

Please, remember that there will be many news-stories on the page, so use the " " line to seperate where the teaser for your story from the real meat of the subject. try to keep the teaser down to 20-40 words if you can, please, so that more news stories will fit on the page.

After that, your story will go into the moderation que, where any one of the moderators can choose to edit, delete, or approve your story. Since we like all kinds of news stories, feel free to submit lots of good things - but remember, we are a Roleplaying game site, so if you've got 10 different articles on 10 different movies, try to make one big "Movie News!" story out of them.

interesting and fun things - It doesn't have to be purely related to gaming, as long as it's the kind of geeky interesting thing that could easily come back to gaming. science, space, technology, movies, all of that good stuff.

Go ahead and look at all the catagories - there's a lot of them, so if it fits into one of those story types, go for it.

I've been really busy in the real world, so I havn't had as much chance to do the WoTC/Malhavoc/GR updates that I usually do, or you'd be seeing more on the news page at the moment.
