Main Menu
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Event Coverage

Next week is our third Save vs Hunger charity gaming event to raise money for a local food bank. I would like to provide coverage for this on this forum. Would this be OK? If it is OK, what section of the forums should it be in? I only see myself doing a single thread, but with multiple postings by me as the event goes along.
"Meh."

One Horse Town

I think the main forum would be fine. I'd wait for Pundit's confirmation first, though.

Looking forward to hearing about the Save vs. Hunger event. Is it a 10+ save or some nasty WFRP save like roll double 00s? :)  Definitely include pics and links and all that good stuff. Are your crew the only people doing Save vs. Hunger or is it something other groups do in other cities?

Pics will be included, also interviews with the organizers and participants (because I want people to know who we are). As far as I know, we are the only group doing Save vs Hunger, because the beneficiary (Second Harvest Food Bank) is a local outfit serving Knox and the surrounding counties in East Tennessee.

However, the organizers have recently set themselves up as a nonprofit, so who knows - if more people follow the example we are setting and do charity gaming events in other cities, then maybe it will become a national phenomenon.

The Save vs Hunger is a roll of 10+ on a d20, but you can Aid Another with a bonus modifier of +1 per person helping and no limit cap to the bonus value.

If the Save vs Hunger charity adventure I think I've seen pics of here and there is available after the con to non-congoers, please make sure that info gets put up here as well, Jeff.
Wampus Country - Whimsical tales on the fantasy frontier

"Describing Erik Jensen\'s Wampus Country setting is difficult"  -- Grognardia

"Well worth reading."  -- Steve Winter

"...seriously nifty stuff..." -- Bruce Baugh

"[Erik is] the Carrot-Top of role-playing games." -- Jared Sorensen, who probably meant it as an insult, but screw that guy.

"Next con I\'m playing in Wampus."  -- Harley Stroh

I wish I could take credit for coming up with this, but I'm just a helper monkey.

There is no specific adventure AFAIK, but there will be a premier of an adventure specifically written for release at the event. I will provide links and info to it once I get it.

That must be what I'm seeing, then - awesome.  Keep us posted.

Helping monkeys get the job (in this case, a great job) done. So you deserve them.
