I seem to have run into a glitch yesterday that first caused me to get nothing but Internal Server Errors when I tried posting this (screenshot of the text) and then for a while it appeared the site was down completely for me (I even DM'd Pundit on Twitter), figuring it had been a DNS attack. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
You killed it :). Hard to say from the screenshot. Can you message me the actual text, if possible?

Well, this is something. I can't even send the text as it gives an Internal Server Error. I'll have to send a JPEG.
OK. Working on it.
For now, it should work if you remove the quote. That's not the issue, but it does bypass it.
Just had the same thing happen to me, on a very long post. What's the best way for me to get you the text, since it won't let me post it here, either?
First thing to do is make sure there are no non-ascii characters (curly quotes, long dashes, and other special characters). That's usually the issue.
And did you try to quote a message, and then edit the quote?
Yeah, I quoted and edited. It has something to do with line or paragraph breaks. I copied into notepad and removed all the line breaks, and I can preview it now. Once I start adding line breaks (with the "Enter" key), it screws up at some point (I get about halfway through).
Hmmm, without the Enters, I can preview, but it still won't post. Unless I have a hidden characters somewhere, I can't find any errors...
Same error message when you try to post, or something different?
Same Message. Internal Server Error and a number (500, I think).
It's a false positive security issue. I don't have a workaround for it yet. If you remove the parenthesis, it should work.
