This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Holy Shit... We're FULL!

Tonight, for the first time since taking the site over, I logged into the "roleplaying Games" forum and saw that the entire front page was full of threads that were last updated "today"! In other words, absolutely everything on the first page had new material for anyone who hadn't logged in within 24 hours!

Gentlemen, we have the "mo". :cheerleader:

Glad to have done my bit to help.:)

BTW, let's hope we can keep this site running without begging from money from the users, while at the same time telling them they have no voice in how the site's ran, A'la rpg.net, where the mods are gods.
RPGPundit is a fucking fascist asshole and a hypocritial megadouche.

They aren't gods, they are Blockwarte:

Nothing surprising in the manymany posts.
It's a good site.
If people know *anyone* on a forum, even in passing, they are more likely to post.
I joined because I read the Pundit's blog.
Then I was impressed by the presence of actual game designers.
Now I'm looking to expand my horizons beyond d20.
Funny how that works.

I like the crowd we've had over here.  A lot of my favorite game designers, along with a healthy dose of random gamer "personalities", shall we say.  We're having some fantastic threads, to boot.  I hope we can reach that "critical mass" phase and keep it up...

"Critical mass?" There is such a thing as too big, you know. Like with the WotC boards one, maybe two years ago.

Agreed (and I remember those days unfondly)--I used the term more in the sense of a message board reaching that point where you can pretty much tell the forum has progressed to where it has the sort of community/population that will ensure long-term success.  Poor science on my part, I know. :p

Well, I have to admit that so far, I like the new version of this site...

You shouldn't be surprised by the presence of actual game designers.  They've all been reading my blog since forever.  Unlike other people who make big showy claims about being "industry insiders" and then can't get fuck all of anyone significant to so much as glance at them.

*shrugs*
My point was that I usually post on very much more relaxed forums...
Not that other forums made spectacular and unfulfilled claims.
I've been spared that disappointment thus far.

I think this place can be something better.  I am of the opinion that it is better!
