Clinton R Nixon: not banned

It's seems that the overzealous anti-spam software decided that Clinton Nixon was one of the bad guys. He will be unbanned as soon as I figure out how to do that or one of the smarter admins gets on the case. My apologies for the hassle, Mr. Nixon!

Here's a fun fact: it seems an anti-spam banning actually has the effect of putting you on global ignore. You can read and post but nobody can read your posts. You wouldn't have necessarily known you were banned until you caught on that everyone was ignoring you for some reason.

You can't fault the poor spambot for deciding that 'Clinton R. Nixon' is a pretty unlikely name. Wouldn't you?

The nice thing is that given the admin policies around here, I didn't have to ask if banning you was an error. If I recognize someone is a valid user, then they weren't banned. Simple as that.

On my forums, some people thought R. would have to be "Reagan"...

Yea, not to toot my own horn here, but it does say a lot that you can have this forum and have the junior admin login, see that the "second in command" of the Forge who just finished having a big argument with the ultra anti-forge senior admin is banned, and INSTANTLY get that it was nothing more than a spambot error.

So much for those who argued that I'd turn this place totalitarian within a week.
I opted for turning it successful, instead. :pundit:
