Title: Chinese Filter a Tad Overzealous
Post by: Apparition on March 16, 2017, 04:45:49 PM
I attempted to make a post linking to a new Kickstarter campaign I discovered today that I thought folks here would find interesting, but when I clicked on "Post," I received the following error message:

QuoteChinese characters are not accepted. Please use English.

I have no idea at all what triggered that.  I made a few alterations to my original post, all getting that message.

Here's the post. (http://www.therpgsite.com/showthread.php?35499-KICKSTARTER-The-RPGsite-Thread-for-Information-About-Kickstarter-Projects&p=951980&viewfull=1#post951980)

I just cut everything out except for the first sentence, posted it, then went back and edited it adding everything else back in.  That worked.

I've modified it. Should work now. You copy/pasted from Word, I'm guessing, so it detected non-HTML characters like the 1/2 and typographer's single quotes.

Cool. I wish more forums would block typographical stuff that doesn't work on all machines. ;-)

Well, I removed that block since a lot of people do copy/paste stuff from Word and other word processors.
