Main Menu
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I spent nearly an hour writing a blog entry on adding "proper" rules for Horror Checks to nWoD and it logged me out in the meantime.  I lost the lot

Is there any way to stop that happening or should I compose my articles off-line before submitting them?

i almost always do that with long posts and such.  take MS word or some program, even save the file if you're paranoid enough, then cut 'n paste when you're done.  :)

i've had way too many bad experiences with long e-mails or messageboard posts that got eaten... it's excessively frustrating.
don't quote me on that.  :)

I usually do.  It was only going to be a quick post then it got longer and longer...

Sorry abou that. The cookies are a bit confused since some folk are on NKL cookies and some are on RPGsite cookies.  At some point I need to set therpgsite domain to send header 300 and silent redirect to nutkinland.

Whenever you end up with a big post, you can always do Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C.  That will select all the text and copy it to the clipboard.  Then if disaster strikes you can paste it into notepad or whatever.
I have a theory, it could be witches, some evil witches!
Which is ridiculous \'cause witches they were persecuted Wicca good and love the earth and women power and I'll be over here.

This is something I often do and it works very well. :)
