This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A Question about the rest of the site.

I wanted to post this in "Site Comments" but apparently I'm not allowed to start new threads there...is that just me?  And if it isn't, explain.

Anyway, what is going on with the rest of therpgsite.com?  I know some parts have volunteers helping, but what about News, Articles, and such?

Do we have column people for articles?

I believe Site Comments threads are only started by the posting on one of the board's blogs.

Knightsky's right, which is why I think Site Comments should be renamed ASAP. However we all saw what happened the last time I went off and did something half-cocked, so I'll leave this one to RPGPundit and jrients.

Besides, I have half a bottle of sake in me tonight so chances are anything I did would be fully cocked.
Why are there so many songs about rainbows and what\'s on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, and rainbows have nothing to hide.

Anyone can submit an article, column, review, whatever.  I'd like to see more folks take advantage of it as the mood strikes them.

Sojourner Judas is doing the collaborative works admin--I don't know of anyone else specifically "assigned" to any part.

I agree that Site Comments should be renamed, but I'd rather Pundit made that call.  I'm the juniormost partner on the admin team and I don't feel comfortable making some decision.

Anyone wanting to contribute to other sections of the site are certainly welcome to do so.  Post to Help Desk if you need technical assistance.  Personally, I'd like to see the review database grow.  The review sections of EN World and RPGnet are super useful but I think we could make a contribution here as well.

Maybe break up Site Comments into "Review Comments," "Blog Comments," "Articles Comments," et cetera?

I don't think making several subforums would be the best option right now (kinda like dividing Electronic and Other Games again).

Yeah, I'd say rename if you have to, but keep the one forum for now.

Hmm, I just noticed weekends are sort of the slow point of the week for the site as of right now...I'd have thought the opposite true.

Relatively speaking, you're right. But its not a very significative difference.
The main thing we need is people starting more NEW threads on the main roleplaying forum.

So what the fuck do I rename "site comments" as?

Quote from: Sojourner JudasPerhaps "Article comments."
That sounds workable.  Could be expanded to something like "News, article, & blog commentary", although that may be a bit too wonky.
