This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Ghost Whistler;363390PS: I need an 'eye of terror' style name that's more apt than Black Sun (or Eye of Terror). I love the idea of the Eye of Terror. I want my own Eye of Terror; i would cuddle him and call him George. But I digress.

Shining Fear? Terror Star? Nemesis Star? Eye of Horror? Terror's Heart?

I'm rather partial to just plain "Nemesis".  Are you looking for something evocative of the Chinese elements or spiritualism?

Devilsun?

Devil Sun isn't bad, since it emits 'Sha' which is 'anti chi' also known as Devil breath.

Either that or, simply, the Eye of Feng Du (which it literally is).

Nice name though. Use Well of Tears for something else? Maybe a black hole?

I'm grateful for all suggestions. I intend to use such naming conventions (similar also to those WotG uses for locations) for the entire setting. I've always wanted to see an sf setting with fantasy sounding 'place' names ever since I saw Flash Gordon land safely through the Sea of Fire.
