This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Be cautious, acquiring the talismans is dangerous and once you have them, everyone comes after you for them.

Quote from: AsenRG;953747I'm almost done with the next update, which includes us getting a fox-demon-pet, and using her to perform a pity murder.

I am looking forward to it. I am about a week behind on my updates. Should have sessions 40&41 of Disposable Disciples up in the next couple days and the last two sessions of the Dee campaign as well.

I'm at least two sessions behind, but trying to catch up.

I'm at least two sessions behind, but I'm just going to write a longer, more concise update.

And I've guessed the part about the talismans. Given that we have Jade Maidens, which amazingly remain maidens for now, what would happen if some of these were destroyed?

I think there are basically two real possibilities here:

One is that they can't be destroyed because they are so primordial, the best you can do is hope to suppress them for a time.

The other possibility is because they are so primordial and fundamental to reality itself, that destroying them would wreak havoc across many worlds. It wouldn't just disrupt Qi Xien, it would disrupt Gamandria too and any other universe/reality tied to the setting. I think the effect would be a bit like the nothing from the Never Ending story but specific to the individual Talisman's area of focus.

I'll pass that to our GM, then:D!

The number of Wounds and Techniques is growing. Alas, so is the time needed to resolve a round, too;)!

Definitely interested in getting feedback on how things feel at different levels for people. How much time are you finding it adds to rounds as you progress and are you finding it to be pretty static or that it goes down over time as you get more accustomed to the new techniques?

Some of us are getting more accustomed, the player that isn't interested in mechanics doesn't learn them, and the GM has new techniques to read every session:). Their interaction with our Techniques are also unknown to anyone, yet, so rounds are definitely getting longer.
And due to the added Wounds, without "open damage" adders, you get at least 2 more rounds per Qi level;).
The net result is the fights are getting longer and longer, though they're not yet at D&D4e/Ex1e2e3e levels. But then, we're at Qi 3, XP-wise, and hoping to get to Qi 4 in 1-3 sessions, depending on the typical rate of XP gain for the different players.

OTOH, everybody liked your "nothing from Neverending Story" idea, there were even votes whether we shouldn't slip an Amulet to the Jade Maidens:D!

Thanks for the info. I'd be interested to know how that plays out over the next three levels with your group. Are you looking up the techniques in the book when they come up or do you have notes for them? How is the GM managing techniques?

One thing about the game is with all the techniques, it is sort of like having all mages in the party, so I find that does slow things down. But I am looking for ways to speed up play.

Did a podcast discussion on GMing for wuxia and a bit on Ogre Gate. We are still finding our sea legs so me and Kenny will probably do more on this subject: https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-3rf3i-697ede

Here is a new Flaw for Dying that we are working on: http://thebedrockblog.blogspot.com/2017/04/new-flaw-dying-in-martial-world.html

Also should have more session logs up soon. A bit behind on getting those up (there are about four sessions I need to do write-ups for).
