This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Well, damn, and just when my debit card is experiencing technical difficulties. I blame the bank:).

Not that it's going to delay me more than a couple days, but still;).

Looking at these, it makes me think this game might be good for a low-powered Exalted replacement.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

It would fit quite well on the Dragon-Blooded power level, yes, possibly going up to Sidereals before access to SMAs:).

It might actually be good for anything up to and including Solaroids, too, with some tweaking. Well, the more inhuman splats wouldn't be well represented, but frankly, who cares about those, anyway:D?
The tweaks required would be to set up mortals and opposition a bit lower, and maybe import some non-combat powers from Sertorius. This might be achieved by mandating that they roll d8s instead of d10s, for example, and by interpreting the levels of success differently for Celestials, Terrestrials and Gods, and Everybody Else;)!
The only issue is going to be the relatively high lethality, but then you can always defeat enemies without killing them.

If you want an Exalted Replacement, Sertorius might fit better than Ogre Gate. But the core system is basically the same, and Ogre Gate is pay-what-you-want (so it is a good way to preview it). So you can probably use Ogre Gate in a similar way if you reskin some of the Kung Fu techniques. But there are a few free Sertorius books that might have stuff you can pull for low-powered Exalted as well:

That is awesome. A lot of cool elements coming together there. Thanks for sharing. I have a personal hand-done map of Songbird Villa if you or the GM would find it useful (it isn't an official map, just one I did for my own sessions).

Some news regarding the Sects of the Martial World line. One of the things that makes this affordable for Bedrock is because RPGnow calculated sales based on #copies sold/day, we could feasibly get into the top 10 best seller list, which would help boost overall sales and give us revenue to balance out the art cost of each PDF. I was just informed they are switching to a new algorithm that changes it to sales $/day. So a 10$ book that sells ten copies is going to be higher on the list than say a 5 dollar book that sells 11 copies. This means a 50 cent PDF is going to have an exceptionally hard time cracking that list and that we might lose money with each sect book. I haven't decided what to do yet, but I probably will have to make a change to our plan with the sect books.
