This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Congratulations on getting this game out, Brendan! Your love for the genre is obvious. I'm not much of a wuxia fan but I might check it out.

Is there a discussion of the genre for the uninitiated?

What I try to do is explain the conceits of the genre and the 'physics' of the wuxia abilities. I do talk about it to some extend in the GM chapter and I also provide a suggested viewing list.

You are welcome! I started by reading the Referee advice and so far, I like it quite a bit.
I'll write a review when I'm done, and might order the physical book if RPGNow doesn't make it prohibitive, but no promises when I would find the actual time.

Thanks Arsen. I appreciate your support. It looks like we hit number 1 last night at RPGnow (but have since gone to 3). For a pay-what-you-want book that is pretty good.

The print will not be on OBS, our print seller is Studio 2, so it will be in general distribution. I will link to the sales page when it comes out. The suggested cover price is going to be 49.99 (which was the lowest we were able to set it with our present arrangements).

Working on a series of books called Sects of the Martial World. These are very small (8-10 page) PDFs, and they will probably cost 25-50 cents. Each one is going to have a sect, usually inspired by a particular style of wuxia (for example the first two are inspired by the films directed by Chor Yuen based on Gu Long books---which have a very specific vibe). The first book is ready, I just need to lay it out this week and hope to have it up soon. It is called the Silken Robe Society. The second book is also nearly ready (just waiting on art). That should be out next month, and will be called Relentless Corpse Sect. My hope is to have one of these out each month.

Thanks. I was trying to sync-up the stuff I prep regularly for my own campaigns with what would be helpful to people. I've found that having a bunch of sects on-hand, that you can drop in as needed, really helps.
