This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I'd like to invite everyone to a new IRC chat discussion on Game Design, hosted by Shane Knysh:

QuoteGreetings!

There seems to be some interest in these discussions so I have set up a blog, GameFarm, to manage the logs and summaries and to collect ideas for new topics  (http://gamefarm.wordpress.com/).

The first session is scheduled for Saturday Oct 3, 2009 at 3 pm Mountain (GMT-7) and will run for 1 hour. The sessions will be held in the GameFarm IRC channel, (http://www.mibbit.com/chat/?server=irc.otherworlders.org&channel=%23GameFarm).

The first topic will be "Answering the 3 Design Questions" which was borrowed from a 2005 game design seminar at GenCon SoCal. Further details are posted at GameFarm blog (http://gamefarm.wordpress.com/2009/09/26/three-design-questions/).

Hope to see you there! --Shane, GameFarm

I'll be there! :)
