This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I usually go the other way, start with the mythic stories and go down from there. Tell me how hex-by-hex would work for this? My idea is to make something those T&Ters here can take, use, and warp the heck out of for actual play.

I'd start with "The Trolls were the first race, they served the gods when the world was new. They did great and wondrous things, but in time they betrayed the gods plans. Cast into the depths, even the merest touch of sunlight would turn them into stone.."

The Fallen trolls made room for a new kindred, one fashioned by.....

And let someone else take it up from there, but hex by hex begins with what one small village and the lands around it?
