This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: SettembriniI cannot see any cool in what you wrote. Better stop procrastinating the actual game. Better be an awesome DM, who´s prepared and who´s not postponing appointments with kids.

Prep the module and fast forward to adventure, instead of stalling the game & posting on the net.

Sorry, but that sounds way too much like Wil Wheaton´s attempts at DMing than actually something good being done for the kids or the hobby.
Funny that you should bring up Wil Wheaton.

What, I'm a late on this? ;)

Necro!!!

I had almost forgotten the tone this thread had taken..

I did get a chance to play again with the kids (after a 7 month delay!!!) and wanted to point people to the AP over on d20 Haven.

I'm reminded, now, of the desire for the kids to get right to the action. These many months on, it seems an odd position given the poster. And I'd also note that the kids were just as, if not more, excited. The only bummer they've had is how much their schedules and mine have not lined up to play again. IMHO, sometimes with kids (maybe especially!) holding off the "big prize" si just what's needed. Too much becomes passé to this generation of plenty...

We're hoping for next week when they have off for the Thanksgiving break.

But for now, we'll just have to live with the first of probably four or five write-ups from the three sessions in early November...

Enjoy!

I can't believe this is still on the first page - though I'm happy about it.

Regardless, I've got the next AP up from part two of the first day of play in November over on d20 Haven.

Enjoy!

Just thought I'd let y'all know:

I was reading this with my kids last night (2/23/09) and they informed me I was misremembering part of it - and let me tell you they had vivid recollections. So I listened, we talked, and, as I told my wife, they were right. So this has been slightly altered. Most significantly - the folks who acted as lures and those that hid to attack the Ogre changed; the order of that battle changed a bit; Peter did not get attacked just before quitting, that comes later.

Enjoy!
