This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[SWSE] Experiences with "Dawn of Defiance"

My group is - I figure - about midway through the "Savage Tide" Adventure Path for 3.5, and I figure that by the time we're done we're going to want a change of genre (we've been playing the campaign for the last year or so with the same group after having the previous group dissolve owing to people moving away).  As the vast majority of the group members are keen on the changes that we've instituted to various 3.5 rules, I think that shifting to Star Wars Saga shouldn't be too much of a shock to anyone's system, rules-wise.

As I intend to pitch the "Dawn of Defiance" AP* as the next ongoing campaign, I'm curious to hear what changes to the various encounters have been made to make the experience more Star Wars-y, or just make the encounters less ho-hum.

Don't know if you ever go there, but there is a thread for all ten episodes on the Wizards boards "enhancing" each.  I have downloaded the episodes but my only Saga player is my son, and I think Dawn of Defiance is a bit more than I want to handle with him at the moment.

I assume you mean this one?  I'll have to sift through that and see what good might come of it - thanks!

There SHOULD be one for each episode.  I know I saw the DoD: 10 thread the other day.

I think that the first post of each of them has the links for all the module threads...

Yeah, that's the case.  That'll definitely take awhile to sift through, so I guess it's a bonus for me that I won't be kicking things off for at least 6 months.
