This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Slight writer's block and stuck in earlier decisions.

That describes my current problem with my own rpg-project.

I might be able to get around the block, but together with that i'm somehow stuck in a very few bad decisions i wrote down a while back, i am getting nowhere.

Instead of totally giving up on the project, ... i start this thread just to see what happens ...

EDIT:
The matter that started it, was how to limit accessible equipment, and the potetial use of Classes or Set Archetypes.
I may not dislike D&D any longer, but I still dislike the Chaos-Lawful/Evil-Good alignment system, as well as the level system.
;)

Can you eliminate the section causing the problem, sometimes that helps.

I like the Law of the Purse. The more stuff you have, the longer it takes to find what you need.

Eliminating as in removing the section, or as in noting what section it is that is causing it?

There are two sections that is causing it, none of them are in the core rules, and their equivalences in the Incomplete 0.5 Beta, is dubbed "Allegience" and "Equipment" respectively.
However, the attempt to improve those sections, resulted in the sections "Organisation" and "Starter Equipment" instead, an that was where i got stuck by shaping those sections incorrectly.

Bloody Stupid Johnson

Reading this its very hard to see what the problem is.
You'd almost need to post up the whole thing to get sensible feedback, maybe, then explain what your objectives are, that aren't working?

If I remember Ferals was sort of Storyteller inspired, so I guess the fallback position is to do whatever they did in the relevant section. Or grab a chunk from another game instead, if that's a better fit.

Admitted, i was in a bit of a rush when i wrote the OP, much because this site obviously logs me off if i spend more than five minutes on writing a reply or even an OP, forcing me to log in again, every-so-often.

Also, my writers blocks is a bit odd(and frequent), and i have noticed i can get around them if other people asks me the neccesary questions.
Essentially, when i have those blocks, i may still actually know what to do, but i must reason with someone to remember it, because i have problems forming the actual questions that leads to the answers that i need (and "what do i have to do" is often to vague).

Yes, other White Wolf games should be the normal fallback, but i have been tryng other ways to define special equipment that the characters may have when they begin play, than the Storytelling System normally use.
.... But, then again, the block may even make me forget what to look for.

.. I think i'll double-check a few things now, while i remember what to look for.

EDIT:
No, the ST-system does not have any direct rules that allows and limits conventional weaponry, like pistols or rocket launchers except perhaps notes on availabilty and/or cost in Dollars somewhere, and the GM-arbitration of allowing it or not.

However, in my game system, charachers aren't much more powerful than regular humans normally, so firearms has to be more substantially controlled.

(Also, during this post (before edit), i was logged out, also, during the following check up, i also got logged out.
Do the site mistake me for a bot, or what?)
