This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

It's not for sale or download so don't ask

Thank you again for the words of encouragement. I actually took those down because I did a later draft. The referee's guide didn't get finished. I jumped into designing a pirates game based on 2d6, and then an 0e game. The last is the one I reference in the other thread.

If you wish to see the "finished" (haha nothing's ever finished) Treasure Hunters Précis Edition player's book, taxidermicowlbear hosts the link. The Précis game is based on BX; the Prolix game is the 0e version.

The Prolix game is a long way from done. I need to pick monsters and stat them up; I need to write about 70 more spell descriptions; I have to write the section on how to design a dungeon; I have to write a section on how to design the wilderness; I have to write the magic item tables; I had to write the wandering monster and other encounter tables; I have to write the naval and aerial rules; I have to refine movement rate a little; I have to write rules for domain management. Thankfully I have a lot of good examples for inspiration.

I want to add in a number of referee aids for weather, calendars, lost cities/islands/etc generators, jousting rules and rules for various kinds of CHAINMAIL type small wargames battles...  Most of these are already written and need placement art and formatting.

But the fun is in the making.  We're playing the Précis edition now. No rush to finish.

Same problem here; 'download' is not available as an option for either book.

I had the same issue for both links. Many download places have some sort of button or pull-down that allows download as an option, but I'll be darned if I can find it at either link. :(

It's not meant for public consumption so I didn't really plan it out that way; I just put it up on my google drive and set it to public. So: apologies for the inconvenience.   there is uncredited material so I won't be putting it up on drivethrurpg or anything.

You can still read it though. Bookmark it. If anyone wants, send me an email c/o this site and I will email you the pdf.
