This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Someone mentioned this a while ago.  Where are all the WWII RPGs?  Something like a combination between the simplicity of old school D&D with a modern 4e tactical twist?

I've been thinking of that for a long time too.  So now that I'm in the playtest stages of Felk Mor, I have extra time.  Time to work on this :)

D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

Shane Hensley did a d20 conversion of Weird Wars a few years ago.  I liked it a lot.

You live "trough" it? oink! oink!

;)

Not sure I like the idea of advancing from Private to General. Private to Master Sergeant makes more sense. Most mavericks capped out at Major, btw.

haha, yeah, that's just a rough mock up.  It was just a level progression from 1 to 10 with the most common military rank.
